Blueberry Goat Cheese Bison Burgers
This Blueberry Goat Cheese Bison Burger is a new take on the traditional grilled burger. With the sweetness of fresh blueberries and the tanginess of goat cheese, the juicy bison meat makes for a tasty and satisfying sandwich.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground bison
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries, mashed
- 1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce leaves for topping
- Additional goat cheese for garnish optional
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine ground bison, mashed blueberries, crumbled goat cheese, chopped red onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Mix until well combined
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties
Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat
Grill the bison burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness
Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or until lightly golden
To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun
Top with a grilled bison burger patty
Add additional crumbled goat cheese if desired
Cover with the top half of the bun
Serve immediately and enjoy
