Pickled Beetroot Burger
Eat a tasty burger with pickled beets on top. The beets will give your classic burger a tangy and earthy flavor.
Ingredients:
- 4 burger buns
- 4 beef patties
- 1 cup pickled beetroot slices
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat
Season beef patties with salt and pepper
Place patties on the grill or in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or to your desired level of doneness
In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and allow it to melt
Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly browned
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, followed by ketchup
Layer the lettuce, beef patty with melted cheese, pickled beetroot slices, and red onion on each bun
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately
