- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cloves for garnish optional
Instructions:
Turn on your oven and heat it up to 325F 163C
Toast the ham in a pan with the fat side facing up
With a sharp knife, cut the ham into diamond shapes
If you want, you can add cloves to the middle of each diamond
Pour Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, honey, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper into a bowl
Mix these ingredients together to make the glaze
Make sure the glaze gets into the scored areas by brushing it over the whole surface of the ham
Wrap the ham in aluminum foil and bake it in an oven that has already been heated for 1
5 to 2 hours
Every 30 minutes, baste the ham with the glaze
Take off the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to let the sugars in the ham caramelize
When the internal temperature reaches 140F 60C, take it out of the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes before cutting it
Use the rest of the glaze to cover slices of the Homemade Honey and Mustard Roast Ham
Enjoy this roast ham that is both sweet and savory
